MINUTES QUARTERLY MEETING January 19, 2016

Dr. Denise Pilgeram sent an update on the Mission Free Clinic, which is doing well and benefiting from the help of Megan Allen, technician from Latah Creek Animal Hospital, once a month. She thanked everyone who donated, monetary or in-kind, over the past year. The support is greatly appreciated.
Dr. Hunter reported that the winter meeting was at capacity (three weeks beforehand), with 84 registrants and 12 paid vendors.
Dr. Whipps announced that winter meeting income and dues are coming in well. The association currently has 122 paid members and 27 honorary members.
Dr. Hunter stated that Drs. Shaw and Day are taking over the winter meeting in 2017, with Dr. Hunter serving in an advisory capacity.
Dr. McElroy suggested that members donate returned medications to the Mission Free Clinic.
Dr. Shaw asked about the new IEVMA website. Dr. Branford recommended that members make a point of joining each of the discussion groups to access the content and write posts. The website needs participation from members to be a viable resource for all of us.
Dr. McEntire expressed her thanks for the welcome she has received in Spokane and said that the streamlined referral process is going very well, with effective collaboration among the specialists.
