Dr. Hunter congratulated Pet Emergency Clinic on its Specialty Clinic of the Year award and acknowledged Dr. Mike O’Dea’s hard work on the application. The award was richly deserved.

Shannon Potts of Reliant LifeWorks discussed the services available at their accredited compounding pharmacy, one of two in Spokane. They offer a full spectrum of non-sterile and low/medium risk sterile compounding at this time, so ophthalmics and injectables are somewhat limited. The pharmacy is located at Division and Foothills.

Dr. Hunter announced the passing of Dr. Kent McVey of South Grand Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Branford moved and Dr. Wood seconded that a $1000 scholarship be awarded to a student at the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine in Dr. McVey’s memory, criteria to be determined by Dr. McVey’s wife, Pamila.
